GENDER AND PROTECTION

In order to strengthen the resilience and living conditions of Batwa communities, the GIRIMBABAZI Foundation places women at the center of development, ensuring gender equality and the protection of the rights of Batwa women and girls, not to mention the socio-economic empowerment of these indigenous communities, To this end, capacity-building sessions on human rights, GBV and VICOBA circles are regularly organized for Batwa women and girls, to equip them with notions relating to their rights, the various forms of violence against women, and the means of socio-economic empowerment of Batwa women and girls through VICOBA circles.
