GIRIMBABAZI TUJANE PROJECT

This project is an initiative of the Girimbabazi Foundation to build a basic school called "ECOFO GIRIMBABAZI TUJANE" for vulnerable indigenous children in Burundi. The main objective is to enable indigenous children whose families are unable to ensure their education to have access to their right to education in order to provide them with the necessary foundations for their education beyond the basic cycle and access to post-basic and university education.

Overall Objective

Provide basic education to vulnerable Batwa children in Nyabihanga, Mwaro Province, by building an elementary school and creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Specifics Objectives

  • Build an elementary school capable of accommodating the maximum number of vulnerable Batwa children from Nyabihanga in Mwaro Province, providing them with safe classrooms, adequate sanitation facilities, and a conducive learning environment.
  • Ensure access to education by providing free uniforms, notebooks, pens, and all necessary materials to vulnerable Batwa children, guaranteeing their continued participation in school without any financial barriers.
  • Promote long-term empowerment by offering a comprehensive educational program that prepares Batwa children to continue their education beyond the elementary cycle with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in life.
